Christmas in Mount Holly is always fun. Santa never fails to join us and hand out gifts to all good girls and boys. Have some ot chocolate or cider and sing a few carols.

The menorah will be ready for the festival of lights. May light win over darkness everywhere this festive season.

After a three year hiatus we again welcome Alexa Fila (voice) and Joe Solomon (bass) for a concert of improvisational jazz.

New this year is our first annual pie contest. See the details below and remember there’s also great food, kids games and neighborly banter. Please join us!

Pies should be fully home made.   All sweet pie flavors are welcome (no dinner/savory pies please) 

1. Pls let me know beforehand what flavor of pie you are making –this  helps with the registration and judging set up. An email or text the day before or sooner will work 

2. Pies should be dropped off at the Oddfellows hall between 10 am- 12 pm on Sunday 23 July.   If you can’t make it on Sunday, you can drop them off at my house on Sat between 4-6 pm.  892 Tarbellville Rd, Belmont.  If you need a different arrangement please call me on 802 855 1857

3. You don’t have to be present on Sunday to enter.   If you won't be present, please let us know the best way to contact you. 

4.  Pies will be judged on presentation and taste – with judges scoring crust, filling and presentation.  The tasting will be ‘blind’ – i.e the judges won’t know who the bakers are during the tasting process. That’s why I’m handling the logistics (and not judging )

5.  The tasting will begin at 1 pm, with the winner announced at 1:30 pm.  A prize will be awarded to the best overall pie;  if we have 10 entries or more, 2nd and 3rd place awards will also be given.

6.  After the tasting, the remaining portions of each pie will be transferred to the Mt Holly day dessert table for all to enjoy.  You can take your pie plate home at the end of Mt Holly Day, or I'll keep it for you and you can pick it up from my house.
